Middle Cottages, Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire - Mr M Mackie
Mackies Farms are one of the most successful agric businesses in Aberdeenshire branching out into ice-cream, energy and many other business interests.  This project involved the demolition of two redundant workers cottages and their redevelopment for commercial sale as to associated five bedroom houses with magnificent views to the south and west across Strathbogie to Bennachie in the distance.  The use of sawmill materials and forest thinnings for a carport was also an innovative use.
